It is important to see your doctor atleast 2-3 months before you plan to travel. This will give ample time to get necessary check ups and immunisations. Travel medicine is not covered by OHIP. Although some of the vaccines may be paid for by your insurance plan, you can expect to pay for your doctors visit.
