How does Affirm work?

Affirm gently treats the area together with enhancing micro-pulses of light to help stimulate collagen production, making skin appear more supple and full, while helping to treat wrinkles. The Affirm also treats discoloration, a common condition associated with aging skin that results in age and sun spots. Affirm will also tighten the skin with its thermage tightenig ability.

Can Affirm treat wrinkles, or any age-related skin condition?

The Affirm treatment is specifically designed to diminish the effects of time on the skin such as wrinkles, sagging skin, photo-aging, and other conditions such as mild acne scarring.

Do I need to do anything specific before treatment?

Dr. Takhar will advise you of any preparation depending on the treatment you choose.

Is the treatment safe?

Yes, the system can be safely used by a trained practitioner to treat a variety of conditions.

What about side effects?

The typical side effects from treatment are minimal. Patients usually report redness, puffiness, or mild swelling in the treatment area that can last hours to a few days. Transient tanning of the skin may result and should resolve within 1-2 weeks.

How many sessions will I need?

Wrinkles, loss of skin tone and pigmented lesions typically require 6 treatments.

Do I have to do anything special after each treatment?

You may resume your normal routine, although using a sunscreen is recommended. Dr. Takhar will review specific post-treatment instructions with you.

When will I see results?

Results vary with each case. With some conditions one treatment may show benefits, while others might require 2-6 treatments before results are noticeable.
